DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVOR CENTER - PROVIDES AN ARRAY OF SERVICES INTENDED TO KEEP VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SAFE FROM IMMEDIATE THREATS OF VIOLENCE AND ASSIST THEM IN ACHIEVING LONGER TERM SAFETY AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY. A THREE YEAR RETROSPECTIVE STUDY OF THE STATUS OF 130 CLIENTS USING THE SHELTER PROGRAM COMPONENT INDICATED THAT 90% DID NOT RETURN TO THE PERPETRATOR, AND 75% WERE IN STABLE HOUSING.
SEXUAL ASSAULT RECOVERY PROGRAM - SEEKS BOTH TO PREVENT THE OCCURRENCE OF SEXUAL ASSAULT THROUGH EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY ADVOCACY AS WELL AS REDUCE THE PERNICIOUS AND PERSISTENT TRAUMATIC EFFECTS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE ON VICTIMS. THESE EFFORTS INCLUDE COMMUNITY-BASED ADVOCACY FOR VICTIMS IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE ASSAULT AS WELL AS LONGER TERM EDUCATION, SUPPORT, AND COUNSELING RELATED TO RAPE TRAUMA.
YOUTH2YOUTH - RECOGNIZING THE VULNERABILITY OF YOUTH TO THE LIFE-LONG NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES OF TOBACCO USE, AND OTHER SUBSTANCES ABUSE, THE PROGRAM OFFERS A VARIETY OF PREVENTION EFFORTS, INCLUDING YOUTH/PEER-LED PRESENTATIONS.
