COMMUNITY PROGRAMS: YWCA OFFERS A VARIETY OF TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS THAT PROVIDE HUNDREDS OF INDIVIDUALS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND BUSINESSES THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE IN SOCIAL CHANGE THROUGH PARTICIPATION. THE WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP, RACIAL JUSTICE AND RESTORATIVE JUSTICE WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING CLASSES HELP YWCA FULFILL ITS MISSION OF ELIMINATING RACISM AND EMPOWERING WOMEN AND MOVE US TOWARDS BUILDING A MORE INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY.IN 2022, 3,364 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED IN EQUITY PROGRAMS.
COMMUNITY BASED HOUSING: YWCA PROVIDES SEVERAL COMMUNITY BASED PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO HELP WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH HOUSING IN THE DANE COUNTY COMMUNITY. THESE INCLUDE THE RAPID REHOUSING PROGRAM WHICH IS A SIX-MONTH PROGRAM PROVIDING FAMILIES WITH RENT ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORTIVE CASE MANAGEMENT, FAMILY HOUSING STABILITY, A SHELTER DIVERSION PROGRAM, AND STEPS TO STABILITY, A TENANT-EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES EXPERIENCING HOUSING INSTABILITY.IN 2022, 405 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED THROUGH THE COMMUNITY BASED HOUSING PROGRAM.
PERMANENT RESIDENTS: YWCA OPERATES A 99-UNIT, HISTORIC HOUSING PROJECT (HEREAFTER "THE PROJECT") TO PROVIDE AFFORDABLE AND SAFE HOUSING IN DOWNTOWN MADISON. YWCA HAS DESIGNED SEVERAL SERVICES THAT ADDRESS THIS NEED AND HELP WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES FIND THEIR PALACE IN THE WORLD. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE THE EMPOWER HOME, SINGLE WOMEN'S HOUSING, THIRD STREET AND YOUTH PROGRAMMING.THE YWCA OF MADISON PROVIDES HOUSING TO WOMEN IN PERMANENT HOUSING AND TO FAMILIES IN A HOMELESS SHELTER. THERE WERE 202 INDIVIDUALS SERVED IN 2022.
