THE FLINT SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS (FSPA) WITH MORE THAN 3,500 STUDENTS, IS THE LARGEST COMMUNITY SCHOOL OF THE ARTS IN MICHIGAN, AND ONE OF THE LARGEST IN THE UNITED STATES. IN OUR STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITY STUDENTS OF ALL AGES, FROM INFANTS TO SENIOR CITIZENS, DISCOVER AN AMAZING WORLD OF MUSIC AND DANCE. A CARING FACULTY OF MORE THAN 50 DEGREED ARTIST/TEACHERS GUIDE AND PROVIDE FUN AND CHALLENGING OPPORTUNITIES IN MUSIC AND DANCE, AS WELL AS ENSEMBLE AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS, FOR BEGINNERS TO ADVANCE STUDENTS FROM 21 COUNTIES ACROSS EASTERN MICHIGAN.
SINCE 1957, FLINT REPERTORY THEATRE'S NATIONALLY-ACCLAIMED, AWARD-WINNING INTER-GENERATIONAL PROGRAMMING HAS PROVIDED FLINT AREA RESIDENTS WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPERIENCE THE UNIQUE JOYS OF DISCOVERY AND SELF- EXPRESSION THROUGH THE PERFORMING ARTS.
THE FLINT SYMPHONY ENJOYS A RICH 100-YEAR HISTORY OF OUTSTANDING CONCERTS, STANDING OVATIONS AND PERFORMANCES THE COMUNITY HAS COME TO LOVE AND APPRECIATE. THE FLINT SYMPHONY PERFORMS SIX CLASSICAL CONCERTS FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH APRIL EACH YEAR. THEIR INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING IS HIGHLIGHT WITH A DIFFERENT THEME EACH SEASON.
