TECH SASSY GIRLZ' MISSION IS TO EMPOWER UNDERREPRESENTED MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS TO PURSUE SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS (STEM) FIELDS THROUGH COLLEGE PREPARATION, CAREER READINESS, MENTORING, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. TECH SASSY GIRLZ PRIMARILY SERVES UNDERREPRESENTED MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS FROM TITLE 1 SCHOOLS, WITH THE MAJORITY OF STUDENTS BEING ON FREE OR REDUCED LUNCH. OUR PROGRAMMING HAS ALLOWED THESE STUDENTS TO LEARN 21ST-CENTURY TECHNOLOGICAL SKILLS THAT THEY WOULD OTHERWISE NOT HAVE ACCESS TO.

TECH SASSY GIRLS HOSTS A FREE EVENT ANNUALLY THAT INTRODUCES UNDERREPRESENTED MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS TO SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICES (STEM) CAREERS AND INCLUDES TECHNOLOGY WORKSHOPS AND HANDS-ON DEMONSTRATIONS.
THE PEARLS IN TECH ACCELERATOR IS A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT EQUIPS HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS WITH 21ST CENTURY DIGITAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON 2 AREAS INCLUDING: SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND WEB DEVELOPMENT. UPON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM, STUDENTS RECEIVE A MICRO- CERTIFICATION AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO APPLY FOR INTERNSHIPS.
