THE HIGH DESERT JUNIOR SHOOTERS HELD SIX (6) STRUCTURED TRAP SHOOTING EVENTS DURING 2022. THE EVENTS PROVIDE A VENUE FOR YOUTH, AGES 9 TO 19, TO PARTICIPATE AND COMPETE IN STRUCTURED TRAP SHOOTING THAT TEACHES SAFE GUN HANDLING AND SHOOTING SAFETY, ALONG WITH COMPETITIVE SPORTSMANSHIP. THE PROGRAM SERVED A TOTAL OF ABOUT 60 YOUTH OF WHICH 35 TO 40 ATTENDED ANY ONE OF THE SIX EVENTS. IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORED MONTHLY PRACTICE SHOOTS AT WHICH TIME NEW SHOOTERS WERE INTRODUCED TO THE SPORT AND GUN SAFETY WAS TAUGHT TO EACH PARTICIPANT.
