WORSHIP- ARTS SERVICES - LMI PROVIDES A WEEKLY WORSHIP EXPERIENCE FOR ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL & INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES & THEIR FAMILY, STAFF, AND FRIENDS. BECAUSE OF COVID WORSHIP-ARTS SERVICES WERE STREAMED ON YOUTUBE AND/OR FACEBOOK, AND ACTIVITY PACKETS WERE DELIVERED BY STAFF TO RESIDENCES. IN PERSON SERVICES BEGAN AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER AT THE HOPE COMMUNITY CHURCH IN NILES, MI; HOWEVER SOME GROUP HOMES WERE STILL IN LOCK DOWN DUE TO COVID.
COMMUNITY DISCIPLES IS A SPIRITUAL AND SOCIALIZATION ACTIVITY PROGRAM. AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR BECAUSE OF COVID, THE PROGRAM WAS DONE ON YOUTUBE AND FACEBOOK LIVE. ACTIVITY PACKETS WERE DELIVERED TO PERSONS AT THEIR RESIDENCES BY STAFF. AT THE END OF THE YEAR, IN PERSON ACTIVITIES WERE DONE AT AN EVENT CENTER IN DOWNTOWN NILES, MI.
CAMPS / RETREATS - LMI USUALLY PROVIDES A SPRING RETREAT AND A SUMMER DAY CAMP EXPERIENCE FOR ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL AND INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES THAT INCLUDE WORSHIP, SINGING, A BIBLE LESSON, CRAFTS, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.
