IHA HEALTH SERVICES CORPORATION (IHA) IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT MULTI-SPECIALTY GROUP OF MORE THAN 720 PHYSICIANS IN OVER 150 OFFICE LOCATIONS IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN THAT SERVE OVER 500,000 ACTIVE PATIENTS. IN FISCAL YEAR 2022, IHA PHYSICIANS PROVIDED HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR OVER 1,500,000 OUTPATIENT/CLINIC VISITS.CONSISTENT WITH ITS MISSION, IHA PROVIDES MEDICAL CARE TO ALL PATIENTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY. TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH STATUS OF THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH IT OPERATES, IHA PROVIDES SERVICES INTENDED TO BENEFIT THE POOR AND UNDERSERVED, INCLUDING THOSE PERSONS WHO CANNOT AFFORD HEALTH INSURANCE OR OTHER PAYMENTS (SUCH AS COPAYS AND DEDUCTIBLES) BECAUSE OF INSUFFICIENT RESOURCES AND/OR WHO ARE UNINSURED OR UNDERINSURED. THE QUANTIFIABLE COST OF IHA'S COMMUNITY BENEFIT MINISTRY FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022 IS $15,677,947 IN UNPAID COST OF MEDICAID AND OTHER PUBLIC PROGRAMS. MINISTRY FOR THE POOR AND UNDERSERVED REPRESENTS THE FINANCIAL COMMITMENT TO SEEK OUT AND SERVE THOSE WHO NEED HELP THE MOST, ESPECIALLY THE POOR, THE UNINSURED, AND THE INDIGENT.
