Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
PARTNERS PHYSICIAN GROUP (PPG) PROMOTES THE HEALTH OF THE COMMUNITY IT SERVES THROUGH A NETWORK OF COMMUNITY BASED PHYSICIAN PRACTICES AND MEDICAL CLINICS.MEMBERS OF THE STAFF OF PPG PARTICIPATE IN TEACHING PROGRAMS AT AKRON GENERAL MEDICAL CENTER. MEMBERS OF THE STAFF ALSO ARE REGULARLY ENGAGED IN TEACHING IN THE MEDICAL SCHOOL PROGRAM OF NORTHEAST OHIO MEDICAL UNIVERSITY. IN ADDITION, MEMBERS OF THE STAFF OF PPG HOLD VARIOUS POSITIONS ON COMMITTEES OF AKRON GENERAL MEDICAL CENTER AND THE PARENT AKRON GENERAL HEALTH SYSTEM. PPG PROVIDES DISCOUNTED CARE TO PATIENTS WHO MEET THE CRITERIA OF ITS CHARITY CARE POLICY.
