THE LUTHERAN HERITAGE FOUNDATION (LHF) FULFILLS THE GREAT COMMISSION FOUND IN THE BOOK OF MATTHEW BY TRANSLATING, PUBLISHING, DISTRIBUTING, AND INTRODUCING LUTHERAN RESOURCES THAT ARE BIBLE-BASED, CHRIST-CENTERED, AND REFORMATION-DRIVEN SO THAT THE CHURCH MAY INCREASE. IN ORDER TO CARRY OUT THIS WORK LHF UTILIZES INDIVIDUALS WORLDWIDE WHO SERVE AS TRANSLATORS, REVIEWERS, EDITORS, GENERAL LINGUISTS, AND THEOLOGICAL SPECIALISTS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE MOST ACCURATE TRANSLATIONS POSSIBLE. SINCE INCEPTION IN 1992 LHF HAS PUBLISHED 1274 TITLES IN 141 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES. DESPITE THE ONGOING WORLDWIDE IMPACT OF COVID19 DURING 2021 OVER 125 TITLES WERE PRINTED IN 70 LANGUAGES AMOUNTING TO JUST UNDER 430,000 BOOKS/PAMPHLETS BEING PRINTED DURING THE YEAR. THIS INCLUDED FIRST TIME PUBLICATIONS IN THE BEMBA, CEBUANO, ENGA, GEDEO, GOKANA, GREEK, ITALIAN, KAFA, KAMBAATA, KITUBA, KONSO, LINGALA, LISU, LUIDAKHO, LULOGOOLI, MA'DI, TIGRE, TONGA, TURKANA, AND ZOU LANGUAGES. PUBLISHING ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING THE YEAR INCLUDED A FIRST PRINTING OF THE SMALL CATECHISM WITH EXPLANATION IN THE ACHOLI, BEMBA, DHOLUO, EWE, HAUSA, KAZAKH, KINYARWANDA, RUNDI, TONGA, AND ZOU LANGUAGES. THIS VOLUME WAS ALSO REPRINTED IN BURMESE (6TH EDITION), KHMER (5TH EDITION), LAO (2ND EDITION), AND TOK PISIN (6TH EDITION). THE ENCHIRIDION WAS ALSO PRINTED IN 15 LANGUAGES AND ANOTHER FORM OF THE SMALL CATECHISM CALLED A SIMPLE EXPLANATION OF CHRISTIANITY WAS TRANSLATED AND PRINTED IN ANOTHER 12 LANGUAGES. A CHILD'S GARDEN OF BIBLE STORIES WAS PRINTED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HAUSA, KINYARWANDA, AND RUNDI, AND REPRINTED IN BATAK TOBA (2ND EDITION 1ST PRINTING), BURMESE (4TH EDITION 1ST & 2ND PRINTING), INDONESIAN (4TH EDITION 3RD & 4TH PRINTING) NIAS (1ST EDITION 2ND PRINTING), RUSSIAN (6TH EDITION 1ST PRINTING), AND TOK PISIN (1ST EDITION 2ND PRINTING). BIBLE STORIES IN PICTURES WAS PRINTED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN KHMER AND LISU AND REPRINTED IN VIETNAMESE (NEW TESTAMENT STORIES 3RD PRINTING) AND ALSO VIETNAMESE (OLD TESTAMENT STORIES 4TH PRINTING). THE JESUS NEVER FAILS EVANGELISM BOOKLET WRITTEN BY LHF FOUNDER, DR. ROBERT RAHN, WAS PRINTED OR REPRINTED IN 30 LANGUAGES WITH MANY ADDITIONAL TRANSLATIONS NOW UNDERWAY. ANOTHER ENGLISH VOLUME WRITTEN AND ILLUSTRATED BY LHF TITLED GOD'S WORD FOR YOU WAS PRINTED AND IS NOW BEING TRANSLATED INTO SEVERAL LANGUAGES. PORTIONS OF THE BOOK OF CONCORD, BIBLE COMMENTARY, LUTHER'S WORKS, AND DEVOTIONAL MATERIALS WERE ALSO PUBLISHED IN A VARIETY OF LANGUAGES. NEARING COMPLETION AT THE END OF THE YEAR WAS THE PRINTING OF 19,000 COPIES OF A SPANISH HYMNAL THAT WILL BE PRINTED AND DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE AMERICAS IN 2022. THE PUBLISHED RESOURCES ARE DISTRIBUTED THROUGH MISSIONARIES, CHURCHES, AND INDIVIDUALS WORLDWIDE WITH INCREASING REQUESTS FROM WITHIN THE UNITED STATES FOR CAMPUS MINISTRY, MISSION TRIP, OR EVANGELISM OUTREACH PURPOSES. IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT THE RESOURCES ARE UNDERSTOOD AND USED EFFECTIVELY THE LHF CONDUCTS INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING SEMINARS FOR PASTORS, CHURCH LEADERS, WOMEN, AND/OR CHILDREN DEPENDING UPON THE CONTENT OF THE VOLUME. THE LHF IS BLESSED TO HAVE A FAITHFUL GROUP OF DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS THAT ASSIST WITH MAILINGS AND OTHER PROJECTS ON A REGULAR BASIS.
