THE ORGANIZATION MADE GIFTS AND GRANTS FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES TO SEVERAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.
GOREC (GREILICK OUTDOOR EDUCATION & RECREATION CENTER) - GOREC IS A 500-ACRE OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTER WITH MORE THAN 73 BUILDINGS, TOTALING MORE THAN 87,000 SQ FT IN AREA. IT IS AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC FOR RENT, AND FOR OVERNIGHTS. IT OFFERS A CLIMBING WALL AND HIGH ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES, AQUATIC ACTIVITIES (BOATING, FISHING & SWIMMING), SHOOTING SPORTS (ARCHERY & FIREARMS), AS WELL AS ALL OF THE OTHER ACTIVITIES THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM AN OUTDOOR RECREATION FACILITY (HIKING, TECHNICAL SKILLS EDUCATION, NATURE EDUCATION, CAMPING IN TENTS, ETC.). PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL EVENTS (E.G. KAYAKING, WILDERNESS LEADERSHIP, WILDERNESS MEDICINE) WERE SUSPENDED BY COVID19 PANDEMIC AND PENDING PUD APPROVAL BY THE TOWNSHIP.
