PROVISION OF CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION IN THE FORM OF MEETINGS AND PUBLICATIONS TO ENSURE EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS CAN PROVIDE THE MOST CURRENT AND EFFICIENT EMERGENCY MEDICAL CARE TO THEIR PATIENTS.


DEVELOP CLINICAL POLICIES; MONITOR PRACTICE AND REIMBURSEMENT ENVIRONMENTS; WORK WITH ACADEMIC EMERGENCY MEDICINE TO ENHANCE RESIDENCY TRAINING; MONITOR, ANALYZE AND SUPPORT EMS AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS SYSTEMS IN THE US; WORK WITH AMA AND OTHERS IN ORGANIZED MEDICINE TO ENSURE EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS HAVE THE MOST CURRENT INFORMATION WITH WHICH TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY CARE TO PATIENTS.


MAINTAIN MEMBERSHIP DATABASE; PROVIDE INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS WITH MEMBERS TO ENSURE MEMBERS ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT ISSUES IMPORTANT TO EMERGENCY MEDICINE; SUPPORT RESEARCH; PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC ABOUT EMERGENCY MEDICINE; AND SUPPORT SPECIALIZED AREAS OF INTEREST IN EMERGENCY MEDICINE.
