THE PURPOSE OF THIS ASSOCIATION SHALL BE TO PROMOTE: CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION, RESEARCH ON PUBLIC SCHOOL AND EDUCATIONAL ISSUES, PROTECTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS OF ADMINISTRATORS OF PUBLIC EDUCATION.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
PROMOTE LEADERSHIP AND UNITY WITHIN ITS MEMBERS TO ACHIEVE THE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF PUBLIC SCHOOL EDUCATION IN MICHIGAN THROUGH FALL AND MIDWINTER CONFERENCES.
HORIZON LEADERSHIP ACADEMIES PROVIDES BOTH CURRENT DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENTS AND THOSE ASPIRING TO BECOME SUPERINTENDENTS WITH YEAR-LONG PROFESSIONAL LEARNING TO STRENGTHEN LEADERSHIP SKILLS AND STRATEGIES. PROGRAM COMPLETION EARNS A MICHIGAN DEPT OF EDUCATION APPROVED CENTRAL OFFICE ENHANCEMENT OR ENDORSEMENT.
WORK WITH STRATEGIC PARTNERS, SUCH AS THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT ALL EDUCATORS IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
