THE PANTRY PAL PROGRAM IS THE COLLECTION OF SUPPLIES FOR LOW-INCOME SINGLE-PARENT HOMES. THE BABY BUNDLES PROGRAM HELPS PROVIDED NEEDED ITEMS FOR NEWBORNS AND TODDLERS. THE FOLLOWING ARE ITEMS NEEDED: DIAPERS, BABY WIPES, BABY POWDER, BABY FURNITURE, ETC. SHELTER FROM THE RAIN VOLUNTEERS CONDUCT PRACTICE INTERVIEWS WITH MOTHERS WHO ARE PREPARING FOR INTERNSHIPS OR FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT. OUR VOLUNTEERS HELP MOTHERS FORMAT COVER LETTERS AND RESUMES IN MICROSOFT WORD, PRACTICE INTERVIEWING, COMPLETE APPLICATIONS AND USE THE INTERNET TO SEARCH FOR JOBS.SHELTER FROM THE RAIN'S FEBRUARY "LOVE SHOWER" IS A COLLECTION OF ITEMS TO HELP SUPPORT LOCAL SINGLE MOTHERS. VOLUNTEERS ARE ASKED TO COLLECT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY AND BRING THEM TO THE SAVANNAH CHURCH OF GOD. CROWN A SINGLE MOM" NOMINATIONS - WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY MOTHER SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE A QUEEN AND EVERY QUEEN NEEDS SOMEONE IN HER CORNER. NAMED AFTER THE LATE MARY QUEEN GRAHAM, A LIFELONG SINGLE MOTHER, OUR "QUEEN'S CORNER" PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT SINGLE MOTHERS THROUGH NOTES OF ENCOURAGEMENT. SHELTER FROM THE RAIN'S FEBRUARY "LOVE SHOWER"- A COLLECTION OF DONATIONS & ITEMS TO HELP SUPPORT LOCAL SINGLE MOTHERS. THE MOMMY MEETUP SUPPORT GROUP- MOMMY MEETUP SUPPORT GROUP SUPPORTS MOMS TO MEET WITH OTHER MOMS AND MENTORS FOR MOTIVATIONAL TALKS, EXERCISE, OR LUNCH WHILE THEIR CHILDREN PLAY. THIS PROGRAM OFFERS SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT AND EDUCATION IN HOPES OF EMPOWERING SINGLE MOTHERS.
