OUR MISSION IS TO EMPOWER VULERABLE PEOPLE, BY INFUSING THE GOOD NEWS, GIVING HOPE, AND OFFERING A BETTER WAY OF LIFE
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE MINISTRY PROVIDED SHELTER FOR RESIDENTS DURING THE TAX PERIOD. EXPENSES FOR THIS ITEM INCLUDE HOUSE PARENTS SALARY, FOOD AND NECESSARY SUPPLIES. THE MINISTRY ALSO PROVIDES VARIOUS TRAINING PROGRAMS TO PREPARE RESIDENTS FOR HOMEMAKING AND PARENTHOOD IF PREGNANT. RESIDENTS RECEIVE BIBLICALLY BASED MENTORING TO HELP THEM WORK THROUGH THEIR CRISIS SITUATIONS AND TO HELP EXPECTANT MOTHERS DECIDE WHETHER TO PARENT OR PLACE THEIR BABIES FOR ADOPTION. FAMILY MEMBERS ALSO RECEIVE HELP THROUGH GROUP SECESSIONS AND SUPPORT MEETINGS WITH THE STAFF WE HAVE A MINISTRY IN NICARAGUA WHERE A BUILDING IS BEING USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOUSING A SCHOOL FOR WOMEN WHERE THEY WILL LEARN THE TRADES OF COSMETOLOGY, SEWING, AND JEWERLY MAKING. MISSION TEAMS VISIT AND SHARE THE LOVE OF JESUS THROUGH DAILY BIBLE STUDY AS WELL AS CLASSES ON PARENTING, BUDGETING, AND OVERCOMING ISSUES SUCH AS ADDICTION, CO-DEPENDENCY AND ABUSE.
