THE MEMBER-FOCUSED ASSOCIATION OF MIDWEST MUSEUMS CONNECTS AND STRENGTHENS MIDWEST MUSEUMS BY PROVIDING NATIONALLY RELEVANT, REGIONALLY SPECIFIC, ACCESSIBLE PROGRAMS, PRODUCTS, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES THAT PROMOTE BEST PRACTICES.

SERVED OVER 1000 PROFESSIONALS THROUGH ITS 2023 PROGRAMS, INCLUDING A VIRTUAL ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS PROGRAM SERIES AND THE ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE HELD VIRTUALLY AND IN-PERSON IN INDIANAPOLIS, IN, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF INDIANA MUSEUMS. WHILE THE CONFERENCE WAS WELL ATTENDED, IT DID NOT PRODUCE THE DESIRED NET REVENUE TOWARD OPERATIONS. IN ADDITION, AMM CONTINUED CORE OFFERINGS SUCH AS ITS ANNUAL AWARDS PROGRAM AND MIDWEST MUSEUMS CONNECT MEETUPS WHICH ARE AMM'S YEAR-ROUND OPPORTUNITY FOR PEER-PEER LEARNING, ADVICE AND DIALOGUE ON CURRENT TRENDS, CHALLENGES, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR MUSEUMS. THESE 60-MINUTE ZOOM GATHERINGS HAVE BEEN REGULARLY ATTENDED BY NEARLY 100 UNIQUE INDIVIDUALS. AMM WELCOMED 195 NEW MEMBERS (INDIVIDUALS AND STAFF OF INSTITUTIONAL OR CORPORATE MEMBERS).


HOSTED 30+ VIRTUAL PROGRAMS, SUCH AS ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS PROGRAM SERIES AND ANNUAL AMM AWARDS COMMUNITY CELEBRATIONS. THE ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE TOOK PLACE VIRTUALLY AND IN-PERSON IN INDIANAPOLIS, IN, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF INDIANA MUSEUMS. THE CONFERENCE INCLUDED GUEST SPEAKERS AND SESSIONS ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS FOR INDIVIDUALS IN LEADERSHIP AND KEY OPERATING AND PROGRAMMATIC ROLES IN MUSEUMS. ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS INCLUDED MIDWEST MUSEUMS CONNECT MEETUPS FOCUSED ON CURRENT TRENDS AND CHALLENGES IN MUSEUMS. AMM CONTINUED TO MAINTAIN THE MUSEUM LEARNING HUB, AN IMLS-FUNDED CROSS-REGIONAL RESOURCE FOR DIGITAL MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY TRAINING FOR SMALL MUSEUMS.
