OPERATES ON THE PRINCIPLE THAT ALL PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES AND MENTAL ILLNESS HAVE: STRENGTHS, ABILITIES AND VALUE TO THEIR COMMUNITY; THE CONSTITUTIONAL, CIVIC AND MORAL RIGHT TO LIVE, WORK, PLAY AND WORSHIP IN THE SAFE AND HEALTHY COMMUNITY OF THEIR CHOICE; AND MUST BE TREATED WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT.

BRIGHT START - BRIGHT START IS A PREVENTION PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDES SERVICES AND SUPPORT TO CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO 36 MONTHS TO ENSURE THEIR SUCCESS IN SCHOOL AND LATER IN LIFE. PLAY GROUPS ARE CONDUCTED WEEKLY FOR BRIGHT START CHILDREN TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOCIAL INTERACTIONS, GROUP PLAY, AND FIELD TRIPS IN THE COMMUNITY.
DEVELOPMENTAL TRAINING PROVIDES ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING BASIC DAILY LIVING SKILLS, WORK TRAINING, WORK SKILLS FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS. APPROXIMATELY 70 CONSUMERS ARE SERVED BY THIS PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM IS OFFERED MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FOR 6 HOURS PER DAY.
CILA - COMMUNITY INTEGRATED LIVING ARRANGEMENT FOR DISABLED RESIDENTS OF MOULTRIE COUNTY. APPROXIMATELY 33 CONSUMERS ARE SERVED BY THIS PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM IS OFFERED MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY, 24 HOURS A DAY. THIS PROGRAM IS A RESIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVE WHICH AFFORDS A DISABLED INDIVIDUAL A SET OF SERVICES, UNIQUE TO THE INDIVIDUAL, TO ENSURE THAT AN APPROPRIATE RESIDENTIAL OPTION IS OPEN TO EACH DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED RESIDENT.
