CONTINUED ENGAGEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY AND ADVANCEMENT OF LGBTQ ACCEPTANCE AND UNDERSTANDING. 9 SUPPORT GROUPS HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR ALLOW MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO COME TOGETHER IN A SAFE SPACE TO TALK AND BE WITH LIKED MINDED PEERS. ON JULY 5TH, 2019 MERCED PRIDE TOOK PLACE IN DOWNTOWN MERCED AND ATTRACTED MORE THAN 200 VISITORS. THE ALLIANCE ALSO COLLABORATES WITH THE MERCED COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION AND LOCAL SCHOOLS TO IMPROVE THE ACCEPTANCE AND UNDERSTANDING ON SCHOOL CAMPUSES AS WELL.
