OUR MISSION IS TO CULTIVATE A NATIONAL NETWORK OF LEADERS WHO PROVIDE BOOKS, SUPPLIES, AND PROJECTS TO SUPPORT EARLY LITERACY IN UNDERSERVED SCHOOLS.

THE DIVERSE BOOK PROGRAM WORKS TO PROVIDE TEACHERS AT TITLE 1 SCHOOLS WITH BRAND NEW BOOKS THAT REPRESENT DIVERSE STORIES, BACKGROUNDS, AND CULTURES. DURING THE 2021 - 2022 SCHOOL YEAR, WE PROVIDED OVER 63,060 BOOKS TO STUDENTS AND TEACHERS AT UNDERSERVED SCHOOLS.
THE LITERACY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES EDUCATORS AT TITLE 1 SCHOOLS WITH FREE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, A DIVERSE CLASSROOM LIBRARY, LITERACY ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES, AND BRAND NEW BOOKS FOR STUDENTS 4 TIMES PER YEAR. DURING THE 2021 - 2022 SCHOOL YEAR, WE PARTNERED WITH 40 EDUCATORS AND LIBRARIANS, 46 SCHOOLS, 250 CLASSROOMS, AND ACTIVATED OVER 36,000 VOLUNTEER HOURS TO ADVANCE SERVICE AND LITERACY PROJECTS, WHILE IMPACTING 53,110 STUDENTS.
THE DOMINICA STRONG PROGRAM PROVIDES BRAND NEW BOOKS TO SCHOOLS IN DOMINICA. DURING THE 2021 - 2022 SCHOOL YEAR, WE PROVIDED 4,500 BRAND NEW BOOKS TO STUDENTS AT 5 SCHOOLS IN DOMINICA.
