THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THE SCHOOL IS TO PROVIDE CHILDREN OF POLISH DESCENT LIVING IN US WITH THE POSSIBILITY TO LEARN POLISH LANGUAGE, HISTORY, AND GEOGRAPHY, AS WELL AS TO EASE THEIR ASSIMILATION PROCESS INTO AMERICAN CULTURE. THE SCHOOL ALSO PROVIDES CLASSES OF POLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE FOR ADULTS. IT IS OPEN TO GENERAL PUBLIC, SO THAT ANYBODY WHO WISHES TO LEARN ABOUT POLAND AND ITS HERITAGE CAN ENTER THE PROGRAM. THE SCHOOL PURCHASES EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND BOOKS AND DISTRIBUTES THEM TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
