THE CHICAGO DISTRICT GOLF ASSOCIATION IS THE REGIONAL GOVERNING BODY FOR AMATEUR GOLF IN ILLINOIS AND IS PRIMARILY ENGAGED IN PROVIDING VARIOUS SERVICES TO GOLF CLUBS INCLUDING USGA RATING AND MEASURING SERVICES, AND TO INDIVIDUAL GOLFERS INCLUDING A USGA HANDICAP AND COMPETITIVE PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT ILLINOIS AND PARTS OF INDIANA, WISCOINSIN AND MICHIGAN.

THE FOUNDATION ALSO HELPS GROW THE GAME OF GOLF BY PROVIDING A HOME AT MIDWEST GOLF HOUSE FOR GOLF ORGANIZATIONS.

THE MISSION OF THE SLOVENIAN CULTURAL CENTER IS TO PROMOTE, ENCOURAGE, AND FOSTER, IN THE CONTEXT OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY, THE IDEALS OF THE SLOVENIAN HERITAGE AND CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS AND ETHICAL VALUES, PROVIDING AND OPERATING ADEQUATE FACILITIES IN SUPPORT OF THE RELIGIOUS PURPOSES OF THE COMMISARIAT OF THE HOLY CROSS AND THE SLOVENIAN CATHOLIC MISSION TO CARRY ON EXCLUSIVELY RELIGIOUS, EDUCATIONAL, AND CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES.

The goal of this organization is to operate centers which offer, at a single location, a variety of recreational facilities such as athletic fields and courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool and public lockers. Recreational centers usually offer an organized program of activities for community residents and provide all necessary equipment.
