UPWARD BOUND PROGRAM - A COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM THAT PREPARES STUDENTS FOR ENTRY AND SUCCESS AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL. EACH YEAR STAFF PROVIDES A NUMBER OF SERVICES TO STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY RESIDENTS. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE FINANCIAL LITERACY, CORE CURRICULUM INSTRUCTION, ACADEMIC TUTORING, CAREER AWARENESS, COLLEGE ADMISSIONS ASSISTANCE, PERSONAL COUNSELING, ACADEMIC COURSE SELECTION, ACT TEST PREPARATION, WALK IN FAFSA ASSISTANCE AND STUDY SKILLS.
TALENT SEARCH PROGRAM - THE PROGRAM IDENTIFIES AND ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS FROM DISADVANTAGED BACKGROUNDS WHO HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SUCCEED IN HIGHER EDUCATION. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES ACADEMIC, CAREER, AND FINANCIAL COUNSELING TO ITS PARTICIPANTS AND ENCOURAGES THEM TO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL AND CONTINUE ON TO AND COMPLETE THEIR POSTSECONDARY EDUCATION.
