WE ARE A CHARITABLE NON PROFIT DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING CAREER DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUNG ADULTS IN OUR COMMUNITY. OUR MISSION IS TO EMPOWER YOUNG PEOPLE AGES 17-25 TO PURSUE MEANINGFUL AND SUCCESSFUL CAREERS IN THE "TECH AND TRADES." WE PROVIDE INDIVIDUALIZED CAREER COACHING, INTERNSHIPS, CAREER EXPLORATION PROGRAMS, MENTORS, EMPLOYER AND TRAINING PROGRAM TOURS, NETWORKING EXPERIENCES VIA CAREER COHORTS, AND INTERACTIVE SOFT-SKILLS WORKSHOPS IN PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION, FINANCIAL LITERACY, RESUME, INTERVIEWING, NETWORKING AND MORE.

THIS YEAR, WE EVANSTON SERVED 15 YOUTH PARTICIPANTS, AS WELL AS 70 PROGRAM ALUMNI. PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED CAREER READINESS TRAINING THROUGH SOFT-SKILLS WORKSHOPS AND ONE ON ONE SUPPORT. WE HELPED YOUTH EXPLORE CAREERS IN VOCATIONAL, TRADES AND TECHNICAL FIELDS, PARTICULARLY THOSE THAT DO NOT REQUIRE A 4 YEAR DEGREE. WE MATCHED STUDENTS WITH A MENTOR IN THEIR FIELD OF INTEREST AND SET THEM UP WITH AN HANDS-ON INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF EVANSTON, WE ALSO DEVELOPED IN A 16 WEEK CYBERSECURITY TRAINING PROGRAM TO LAUNCH IN EARLY 2024. WE CONTINUED OUR DIRECT SUPPORT OF OUR YOUNG ADULTS AS THEY NAVIGATED THEIR CAREER PATHS. THIS INCLUDED CAREER-RELATED TOURS, RESUME AND INTERVIEW WORK, CAREER EXPLORATION, NETWORKING AND FURTHER HANDS-ON INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCES THAT HELP THEM HONE THEIR INTERESTS AND CONNECT TO THE TRAINING AND NETWORKING THEY NEED TO SUCCEED.
