TRAVELERS ASSISTANCE - THIS PROGRAM IS STAFFED BY VOLUNTEERS AND SUPERVISED BY PAID STAFF, ASSISTS TRAVELERS AT MSP INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WITH WAY-FINDING, TOURISM INFORMATION, FLIGHT INFORMATION, AND SPECIAL ASSISTANCE REQUESTS FROM LOCAL AGENCIES, AIRPORT TENANTS, AND TRAVELERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.
ARTS AND CULTURE - THE ARTS AND CULTURE PROGRAM SHOWCASES ARTISTIC TALENTS AND CULTURAL HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MINNESOTA REGION BY PARTNERING WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE PERFORMING ARTS, ROTATING EXHIBITS, AND COMMISSIONED ART INSTALLATIONS THROUGHOUT MAC OWNED FACILITIES.
CONTRIBUTIONS AND BEAUTIFICATION - WORKING CLOSELY WITH THE METROPOLITAN AIRPORTS COMMISSION, THE FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTES TO PROJECTS WHICH ENHANCE AND BEAUTIFY AIRPORT FACILITIES. PROJECTS HAVE INCLUDED: HOLIDAY LIGHTING, ARTWORK, FLOWERS, THE AVIATION HISTORY CENTER, PLAY AREAS, AND THE INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL FACILITY. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO SUPPORT AVIATION RELATED PROJECTS SUCH AS THE AIR EXPO AT FLYING CLOUD AIRPORT AND DISCOVER AVIATION DAYS AT THE ANOKA AIRPORT. EACH OF THESE COMMUNITY EVENTS ATTRACT TENS OF THOUSANDS OF LOCAL RESIDENTS INTERESTED IN AVIATION.
