HOUSING ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF DIRECT PAYMENT TO MORTGAGE COMPANY AND/OR LANDLORD FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY COVID-19 AN INELIGIBLE FOR OTHER FORMS OF RELIEF.UTILITY ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF DIRECT PAYMENT TO UTILITY COMPANY, INTERNET PROVIDER, PHONE COMPANY, ETC., FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY COVID-19 AN INELIGIBLE FOR OTHER FORMS OF RELIEF.EVICTION PREVENTION PROJECT -WELCOMING CENTERS WILL PROVIDE DIRECT SERVICES TO IMMIGRANTS BY PAYING RENT AND UTILITY BILLS. ELIGIBILITY EACH ELIGIBLE HOUSEHOLD CAN BE PROVIDED HOUSING, UTILITY ASSISTANCE FOR ANY RENT AND UTILITY BILL THAT WAS ACCRUED BETWEEN MARCH 1, 2020-JUNE 30, 2021.
ZAKAT RELIGIOUS CHARITIES PER MUSLIM LAWS, MUSLIMS GIVE CHARITIES TO POOR EVERY YEAR BASED ON THEIR INCOME GUIDELINES PER SHERIA. CIOGC COLLECT CHARITIES FROM MUSLIMS TO DISTRIBUTES AMONG ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGE PEOPLE AND OTHER MUSLIM ORGANIZATION TO REDISTRIBUTES OR USE FOR OTHER RELIGIOUS SERVICES.
CIVIC EDUCATION ENGAGEMENTS CIVIC ENGAGEMENT IS A CORNERSTONE OF COMMUNITY-BUILDING WITHIN THE COUNCIL. IT IS THE PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF ISLAMIC PRINCIPLES THAT CALL UPON MUSLIMS TO STRIVE FOR JUSTICE. OUR CIVIC ENGAGEMENT EFFORTS HAS MANY COMPONENTS INCLUDING WORKING WITH COMMUNITY-BASED GROUPS TO PROVIDE SOCIAL SERVICES. REACHING OUT TO STARTING DIALOGUE WITH LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES. EDUCATING PEOPLE ON ISSUES AND ON POLICIES THAT CAN HELP IMPROVE OUR COMMUNITIES.
