Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

SINCE 2008 HONOR FLIGHT OF THE QUAD CITIES (HFQC) HAS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED 58 FLIGHTS FOR WORLD WAR II, KOREAN AND VIETNAM VETERANS TO VISIT WASHINGTON D.C. AT NO COST TO THE VETERANS. THE PURPOSE OF HFQC IS TO GET VETERANS TO VIEW THE MEMORIALS THAT HAVE BEEN BUILT AS TRIBUTES TO THEM AND THEIR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY. MANY OF THESE VETERANS NEED ASSISTANCE SO WE HAVE GUARDIANS ACCOMPANY THEM THROUGHOUT THE TRIP. GUARDIANS ARE VOLUNTEERS AND THEREFORE NOT PAID FOR THEIR SERVICES. HFQC USUALLY COMPLETES 3 TO 4 FLIGHTS PER YEAR. WE'VE HAD APPROXIMATELY 5,500 VETERANS IN TOTAL AND 3,300 GUARDIANS (VOLUNTEERS) IN TOTAL ON THE FIRST 58 FLIGHTS. WE ANTICIPATE CONTINUING TO HONOR OUR VETERANS FROM WW II, KOREA, AND VIETNAM IN FUTURE YEARS. AS LONG AS WE ARE ABLE TO RAISE THE FUNDS NECESSARY, WE WILL CONTINUE THIS SERVICE TO OUR VETERANS.
