SOCCER - PRESCHOOL, KINDERGARTEN, RECREATIONAL LEAGUES, TRAVEL, ADULT LEAGUES, CAMPS AND CLINICSPROVIDED OVER 1,500 REGISTRANTS WITH INSTRUCTION, TRAINING AND OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCCER. WAA PROVIDES EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES, UNIFORMS, COACHING AND TRAINERS, REFEREES, INSURANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT FOR SOCCER PROGRAMS FOR AGES 18 MONTHS THROUGH 80 YEARS. THE RENOVATED WAA SPORTS CENTER AT 2323 LIBERTY STREET IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY WAA. ALL INDOOR SOCCER PROGRAMMING, TRAINING AND LEAGUES ARE HELD IN THE FACILITY, IN ADDITION TO MANY OTHER EVENTS AND PROGRAMS. THE TURF AT THE FACILITY IS STATE OF THE ART TURF WITH SAND INFILL, WHICH IS CLEANER AND SAFER FOR ALL OF OUR PARTICIPANTS. TO HELP FACILITATE SCHEDULING AND HELP WITH IMPROVEMENT PLANS, WAA STAFF WORKS CLOSELY WITH LOCAL CHURCH, PARK DISTRICT AND SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION. WAA OFFERED CLINICS AND TRAINING TO INCREASE COACH AND REFEREE KNOWLEDGE. THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO IMPROVE ITS PROGRAMMING FOR ALL AGES, 18 MONTHS THROUGH ADULT, AS WELL AS SUMMER CAMP AND ADVANCED TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES. ALL SOCCER PROGRAMS WERE ADAPTED IN 2020/2021 TO COMPLY WITH STATE OF ILLINOIS PARTICIPATION AND SPECTATOR GUIDELINES FOR COVID 19.
