OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE A FUN, RECREATIONAL LEAGUE FOR THE GIRLS THAT NURTURES A LOVE OF SOFTBALL, BUILDS SELF-ESTEEM, PROMOTES CAMARADERIE AMONG PLAYERS, AND ENCOURAGES A POSITIVE ATTITUDE TOWARDS COMPETITION, SPORTSMANSHIP, AND TEAMWORK. WE ARE DEDICATED TO PROVIDING A LOW COST, RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY FOR GIRLS BETWEEN THE AGES OF NINE AND EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD. THE LEAGUE IS BROKEN DOWN INTO TWO AGE DIVISIONS, 9-13 YEARS OLD AND 14-18 YEARS OLD. OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO PROVIDE A FUN, RECREATIONAL LEAGUE FOR OUR PLAYERS. SKILL LEVEL IS NOT A CONSIDERATION FOR PARTICIPATION AND WE ACCEPT ALL GIRLS INTERESTED IN PLAYING, REGARDLESS OF EXPERIENCE. THERE ARE NO TRY OUTS OR DRAFTS AND EVERY GIRL THAT IS INTERESTED IN PLAYING IS PLACED ON A TEAM. WE STRIVE TO KEEP PARTICIPATION COSTS LOW SO THAT COST DOES NOT PREVENT PLAYERS FROM PARTICIPATING. THE REGISTRATION FEE IS $25 TO PLAY. NO ONE IS EVER TURNED AWAY DUE TO THE INABILITY TO PAY. EVERY GIRL IN THE LEAGUE IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR YEARLY RAFFLE SALES. IN ADDITION TO PLAYING SOFTBALL, AND ALL OF THE BENEFITS THAT COME WITH PARTICIPATING IN ORGANIZED SPORTS, WE REALIZE THAT THE SUCCESS OF OUR PLAYERS OFF OF THE FIELD IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT. ONE OF THE PROGRAMS WE ARE MOST PROUD OF IS OUR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. IF A PLAYER PARTICIPATES IN OUR LEAGUE FOR THREE YEARS, INCLUDING HER LAST YEAR OF ELIGIBILITY (18 YEARS OLD), SHE IS AWARDED A CASH SCHOLARSHIP TOWARDS FURTHERING HER EDUCATION. THIS INCLUDES COLLEGE, TRADE SCHOOLS, AND MILITARY SERVICE.
