FOOD PANTRY AND OTHER PROGRAMS
THRIFT STORE OPERATIONSOUR TWO THRIFT STORES PROVIDE JOB TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT TO RESIDENTS OF OUR RESIDENTIAL RECOVERY PROGRAMS, HARVEY HOUSE AND TABITHA HOUSE. THE STORES ALSO PROVIDE OUR COMMUNTY MEMBERS WITH ACCESS TO QUALITY FURNITURE, CLOTHING, APPLIANCES AND JOBS. THE THRIFT SHOP RECEIVED $1,260,777 IN DONATED ITEMS.
HARVEY HOUSE/TABITHA HOUSETHIS IS A FREE CHRISTIAN-BASED RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM FOR MEN WITH HISTORIES OF DRUG ADDICTIONS AND CRIMINAL BACKGROUNDS. DURING THIS FREE 18-MONTH PROGRAM, MEN LEARN NEW LIFE SKILLS, REBUILD BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS AND OBTAIN JOB TRAINING. HARVEY HOUSE HAS CAPACITY FOR 44 PARTICIPANTS. IN 2021, THREE MEN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE HARVEY HOUSE PROGRAM AND GRADUATED. BOTH MEN ARE SOBER, EMPLOYED AND PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS. TABITHA HOUSE IS AN 18-MONTH FREE CHRISTIAN-BASED RESIDENTIAL RECOVERY PROGRAM FOR WOMEN WITH HISTORIES OF ADDICTION AND CRIMINAL BACKGROUNDS. WHILE IN THE PROGRAM, RESIDENTS LEARN NEW LIFE SKILLS, REBUILD BROKEN RELATIONSHIPS, COMPLETE THEIR EDUCATION AND OBTAIN JOB TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT. TABITHA HOUSE HAS CAPACITY FOR 14 WOMEN. IN 2021, TWO WOMEN GRADUATED FROM THE PROGRAM. SINCE IT OPENED IN 1997, GRADUATES OF THE PROGRAM HAVE AN 80% SUCCESS RATE.
YOUTH PROGRAMSIN 2021, MORE THAN 600 CHILDREN AND TEENS PARTICIPATED IN A PROJECT INTERCEPT PROGRAM OR ACTIVITY. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE HOMEWORK HELP & TUTORING, CHESS CLUB, HARVEY BOXING CLUB, SULIIVAN ARTS EDUCATION CENTER, SUMMER ACADEMIC ENRICHMENT DAY CAMP, AND KIDS CAFE, AFTER-SCHOOL MEAL PROGRAM AND SUMMER MEALS. THESE PROGRAMS HELP AT-RISK YOUTH IMPROVE ACADEMICALLY, IDENTIFY TALENTS AND AVOID DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIORS
