THE ILLINOIS IOWAS CENTER FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING CENTER IS A PRIVATE- NON PROFIT 501 C 3 ORGANIZATION THAT IS FUNDED BY THE US DEPT. OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES/ADMINISTRATION FOR COMMUNITY LIVING TO PROVIDE (5) CORE SERVICES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES OF ALL TYPES AND AGES TO PROMOTE INDEPENDNET LIVING OPTIONS IN ROCK ISLAND, HENRY AND MERCER COUNTIES IN ILLINOIS AND SCOTT, CLINTON AND MUSCATINE COUNTIES IN IOWA. WE ALSO RECEIVE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FROM BOTH THE STATES OF ILLINOIS AND IOWA. THE (5) CORE SERVICES ARE SKILLS TRAINING, PEER SUPPORT, ADVOCACY, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, TRANSITION FROM INSTITUTIONS TO COMMUNITY LIVING AND TRANSITION OF YOUTH FROM POST SECONDARY EDUCATION TO COMMUNITY LIVING. WE PROVIDED INDIVIDUAL SERVICES TO 563 PEOPLE AND 22,103 INFORMATION AND REFERRAL REQUESTS.
