TRANSITIONAL HOUSING: PARTNERS FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPENED THE WELCOME INN TRANSITIONAL LIVING CENTER THE SUMMER OF 1985. COMMITTED TO SERVING HOMELESS FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS, IT PROVIDES HOUSING AND ACCESS TO A SOCIAL WORKER AND OTHER SUPPORTIVE SERVICES. CURRENTLY, THE WELCOME INN HAS 5 BEDROOMS WITH UP TO 3 BEDS EACH.
PERMANENT HOUSING: OUR AGENCY ALSO PROVIDES SOME PERMANENT AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AND THOSE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN ORDER TO HELP COMBAT HIGH RENTAL COSTS THAT ARE FOUND IN OUR COMMUNITY.
EMERGENCY SHELTER: THOUGH IT OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF HOUSING OPTIONS FOR LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS, PARTNERS FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING IS PROBABLY BEST KNOWN AS MANKATO'S "HOMELESS SHELTER" OFFERING EMERGENCY HOUSING TO THOSE EXPERIENCING A TEMPORARY HOUSING CRISIS. THERESA HOUSE AND THE WELCOME INN, LOCATED NEXT DOOR TO EACH OTHER, OFFER TEMPORARY RESPITE TO AS MANY AS 11 HOUSEHOLDS AT ANY GIVEN TIME. CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND SKILLS CLASSES AUGMENT THE HOUSING SERVICES PROVIDED. IN 2018, PARTNERS FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPENED THE ST. PETER MOTEL OFFERING 11 UNITS AVAILABLE FOR EMERGENCY, TRANSITIONAL AND LONGER-TERM HOUSING.
