THROUGH OUR PARTNERSHIPS WITH CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS WE ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE MUSIC EDUCATION TO EVERY CHILD IN EVERY SCHOOL WE SERVE. OUR CLASSROOM MUSIC FOR DIVERSE ABILITIES PROGRAM CATERS TO BOTH SELF-CONTAINED AND INCLUSION CLASSROOMS WHERE MUSIC THERAPY STRATEGIES ARE USED WITH CHILDREN WHO HAVE DIVERSE ABILITIES TO ENSURE LEARNING AND PARTICIPATION FOR ALL. CHIME STRIVES TO BRING THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY TOGETHER VIA PERFORMANCES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IN THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE.THROUGH OUR PROGRAMS AND MUSIC THERAPY SERVICES, WE SERVE OVER 2,000 CHILDREN EVERY YEAR AT OUR LOCATION IN WEST TOWN AND TWELVE PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS, SEVEN OF WHICH ARE CHICAGO PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS. APPROXIMATELY 40% OF THE CHILDREN WE SERVE HAVE DIVERSE LEARNING ABILITIES AND OVER 60% OF THE CHILDREN WE SERVE ARE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED. WE SERVE CHILDREN IN THE WEST TOWN, GAGE PARK, LINCOLN SQUARE, EDISON PARK, JEFFERSON PARK, GARFIELD PARK, NEAR WEST SIDE, UKRAINIAN VILLAGE, AND CLEARING NEIGHBORHOODS IN CHICAGO AS WELL AS A SCHOOL IN WESTCHESTER, IL. THE DEMOGRAPHIC MAKEUP OF OUR STUDENT POPULATION IN THE SCHOOLS WE SERVE IS 8% BLACK, 58% HISPANIC, 25% WHITE, 7% ASIAN, AND 2% OTHER.
