WE PROMOTE THEATRE IN ILLINOIS. OUR MEMBERS ARE STUDENTS, EDUCATORS, COMMUNITY & PROFESSIONAL THEATERS, ACTORS & PRODUCERS ALL JOINED TOGETHER TO SUPPORT THE ART OF THEATRE.

OUR CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS, AND FESTIVALS PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE THEATRE WORK AND PROVIDE A FORUM FOR EDUCATION AND THEATRE ARTS. MANY OF OUR EVENTS ARE GEARED TOWARD YOUNG PEOPLE SUCH AS THE ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE FESTIVAL HELD ANNUALLY. THE FESTIVAL IS GENERALLY ATTENDED BY OVER 4,000 ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AND THEIR TEACHERS. AT THE FESTIVAL, OUR MAIN PRODUCTION INCLUDES A CAST OF HIGH SCHOOL ACTORS FROM ALL OVERILLINOIS PLAYED TO ENTHUSIASTIC AUDIENCES, AND THERE ARE OVER 50 WORKSHOPS FOR ATTENDEES. ON OUR WEBSITE, FACEBOOK, AND IN ONLINE PUBLICATIONS, WE PROVIDE THEATRE NEWS AND INFORMATION ABOUT CURRENT AND UPCOMING PRODUCTIONS AROUND THE STATE.
