THE FOUNDATION MAINTAINS THE FOLLOWING TWO MAJOR PROGRAM SERVICES: BIOREPOSITORY FACILITIES - THE FOUNDATION HOUSES A COLD STORAGE BIOSPECIMEN REPOSITORY WHICH SUPPORTS RESEARCH IN ACQUIRED IMMUNODEFICIENCY SYNDROME (AIDS) AND OTHER CLINICALLY IMPORTANT DISEASES. SCHISTOSOMIASIS RESOURCE CENTER - PARASITE REAGENT PRODUCTION AND DISTRIBUTION AS WELL AS EDUCATION AND TRAINING ARE FOCUSED ON THE MAJOR TROPICAL DISEASE OF SCHISTOSOMIASIS. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES LIFE STAGES OF SCHISTOSOMA PARASITES TO SCIENTISTS IN THE DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH COMMUNITY.
