CONFERENCES - NAHRO CONFERENCES PROVIDE MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS VALUABLE INDUSTRY EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AS WELL AS, ADVOCACY, NETWORKING AND PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. NAHRO'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE SCHEDULE PROVIDES FOR (3) EVENTS INCLUDING THE WASHINGTON CONFERENCE, THE SUMMER SYMPOSIUM AND THE NATIONAL CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION. DURING 2023, NAHRO CONDUCTED A COMBINATION OF VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON EVENTS AND PROVIDED MORE THAN 2000 HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALS WITH MORE THAN 55 CONCURRENT SESSIONS, HOSTED BY AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROFESSIONALS AS WELL AS STAFF FROM HUD AND OTHER FEDERAL PARTNERS, ON TOPICS SUCH AS PUBLIC HOUSING, RAD, HOTMA, NSPIRE, CYBERSECURITY, TAX CREDITS, LEADERSHIP AND MORE.


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDED OVER A HUNDRED SEMINARS ON EDUCATIONAL, TECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL AND CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS REQUIRED BY HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MEMBERS.


LEGISLATION AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT - THE ASSOCIATION EDUCATED AND INFORMED ITS MEMBERS WITH RESPECT TO CONGRESSIONAL ACTIVITIES HAVING A DIRECT BEARING ON HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM LEGISLATION. THE ASSOCIATION CONNECTED WITH THE PRINCIPAL SPOKESPERSONS ON CAPITOL HILL AND WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMMUNICATING WITH MEMBERS OF CONGRESS AND THEIR STAFF REGARDING THE ASSOCIATION'S POSITIONS CONCERNS AND INTERESTS.
