OUR FOOD PANTRY SERVED 495,253 MEALS IN 2023. THAT EQUALS OVER 10,000 MEALS PER WEEK. THAT IS DONE WITH THE FOOD PANTRY, THE SOUP KITCHEN THAT SERVED OVER 3500 INDIVIDULAS IN 2023, AND 4000 BACK PACKS THAT WERE GIVEN TO CHILDREN TO TAKE HOME FROM SCHOOL AND DURING THE SUMMER VACATION EACH WEEK. OVER 35,000 TIMES, FAMILIES WERE GIVEN 34 WORTH OF FOOD DURING THE YEAR.
OUR FREE GIFT STORE GAVE AWAY BEDDING, FURNITURE, BOOKS, KITCHEN UTENSILS, TOYS AND GAMES, AND OVER 33,000 DIAPERS FOR NO CHARGE TO ANYONE IN NEED.
OUR NEW FACILITY SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN 2024. THE PERMITTING PROCESS TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED. IT WILL EXPAND OUR STORAGE FACILITY FROM 3500 SQUARE FEET TO 9500 SQUARE FEET. IN ADDITION IT WILL ADD A PROFESSIONAL KITCHEN FACILITY FOR EXPANDING OUR SOUP KITCHEN AND CLASSROOM FACILITIESFOR TEACHING HEALTH, FOOD AND BUDGETING SKILLS.
