JOY WORLD, KENYA: 80 ABUSED, MOLESTED, ORPHANED, AND ABANDONED GIRLS ARE WELCOMED INTO A HOME THAT ACTS MUCH LIKE AN ORPHANAGE. AT THE HOME, GIRLS ARE GIVEN PERSONAL AND COMMUNAL RESPONSIBILITIES, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT LESSONS, SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND THE LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOL, FOOD, MEDICAL CARE, AND CLOTHING. 3 MATRONS OVERSEE THE GIRLS IN THE HOME, AND THE GIRLS THRIVE AND EXCEL IN THEIR STUDIES TO BECOME PREFECTS, STUDENT BODY PRESIDENTS, AND EARN SCHOLARSHIPS TO ATTEND PRIVATE BOARDING SCHOOLS FOR HIGH SCHOOL.
JUST ORGANIZATION FOR NATURAL GROWTH, INDIA: 870 DALIT AND UNTOUCHABLE GIRLS ATTEND AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS THAT ENSURE THEY GRADUATE HIGH SCHOOL RATHER THAN DROP OUT AFTER 8TH GRADE LIKE WHAT WAS COMMON BEFORE OUR PROGRAM.
