SIILC OFFERS INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAMS AND SERVICES DESIGNED TO MAXIMIZE THE INDEPENDENCE OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES. SUCH IL SERVICES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, ADVOCACY, INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILLS TRAINING, PEER SUPPORT, ACCESS TO ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY DEVICES, AND TRANSITIONS SERVICES.SIILC'S HOME CARE PROGRAM PROVIDES SUPPORTIVE HOME-BASED MON-MEDICAL ALTERNATIVES TO NURSING FACILITY CARE BY PROVIDING PERSONAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES IN THE HOMES OF INDIVIDUALS NEEDING SUCH SERVICES AS HOMEMAKER SERVICES. SIILC'S OLDER BLIND PROGRAM IS A VISION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM DESIGNED TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS 55 AND OLDER EXPERIENCING BLINDNESS OR SEVERE VISION LOSS AND/OR IMPAIRMENTS OTHERWISE NOT CORRECTED BY BASIC OPTICAL LENSES WITH ALTERNATIVE ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY DEVISED AND/OR TRAINNG TO BETTER IMPRVE THEIR INDEPENDENCE.
