FAMILY WELLNESS - AT A TIME WHEN AN ALARMING NUMBER OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS ARE CLASSIFIED AS OBESE, THE YMCA'S PROGRAMS PROVIDE PEOPLE WITH THE SUPPORTIVE RELATIONSHIPS AND ENVIRONMENT THEY NEED FOR THEIR SUCCESSFUL PURSUIT OF HEALTH AND WELLNESS IN SPIRIT, MIND & BODY. MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF ALL AGES, FAITHS, BACKGROUNDS, ABILITIES AND INCOME LEVELS IMPROVE HEALTH AND WELL BEING AT THE YMCA. IN 2011 WE PROVIDED $31,022 IN GRANTS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO MAKE THE YMCA AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE.
HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH EVERY DAY, THE YMCA HELPS YOUNG PEOPLE DEEPEN POSITIVE VALUES & ATTITUDES, THEIR COMMITMENT TO SERVICE AND THEIR MOTIVATION TO LEARN. STRENGTHENING SENIOR LIFESTYLES PROVIDE SENIOR ADULTS WITH PROGRAMS THAT HELP THEM TO REMAIN ACTIVE, PHYSICALLY AND SOCIALLY. PROGRAMS OFFERED HELP SENIORS TO CONTINUE TO BE ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY AND HELP PROVIDE GUIDANCE TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION.
