PEACE LEARNING CENTER OF INDIANAPOLIS FACILITATES COMMUNITY LEARNING THAT ACTS AS A CATALYST FOR PEACE, EQUITY AND JUSTICE AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INNOVATIVE PRACTICES. THE ORGANIZATION'S VISION IS A HEALED WORLD WHERE STRONG AND CARING COMMUNITIES STRIVE TOGETHER TO FULLY LIVE IN PEACE. THE PEACE LEARNING CENTER USES THE VALUES OF RELATIONSHIPS, EQUITABLE PRACTICES, ANTIRACISM, INCLUSIVENESS, LEARNING, SUSTAINABILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY.

CONDUCTED PEACE EDUCATION PROGRAMMING CONSISTING OF FULL-DAY CURRICULUM IN CONFLICT MANAGEMENT USING A FOUR PILLAR LEARNING SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES EQUITY LEARNING, SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING, RESTORATIVE LEARNING AND RESTORATIVE INJUSTICE INITIATIVE.


CONDUCTED PEACE TRAINING SERVICES INCLUDING WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS TO SHARE BEST PRACTICES IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT. PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO "TRAIN THE TRAINER" SO THAT CONFLICT MANAGEMENT SKILLS ARE MODELED AND INITIATED BY YOUTH SERVICE WORKERS INCLUDING TEACHERS. IN ADDITION, DURING THE YEAR ENDED JULY 31, 2023, SEVERAL EVENTS WERE PRESENTED TO PROVIDE EDUCATION AND DISCUSSION TO THE PARTICIPANTS THROUGHOUT THE AREA.
