EDUCATIONAL AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS: SEXUAL RISK AVOIDANCE PROVIDES PREMARITAL SEXUAL ABSTINENCE EDUCATION CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION IN AREA PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL HEALTH CLASSES IN AN EFFORT TO REDUCE TEEN PREGNANCY AND THE SPREAD OF SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES. CLIENT SERVICES PROVIDE OPTIONS INFORMATION, PEER ADVOCACY SUPPORT, PREGNANCY TESTING, LIMITED OBSTETRIC ULTRASOUNDS AND ASSISTANCE TO EXPECTANT MOTHERS, INCLUDING PARENTING EDUCATION AND MATERIAL SUPPORT. CLIENT BASE INCLUDES WOMEN POTENTIALLY CONFRONTED WITH A PERSONAL CRISIS REGARDING THEIR PREGNANCY, PARENTS OR GUARDIANS OF NEWBORNS, INFANTS AND TODDLERS UP TO 3 AND 1/2 YEARS OF AGE. THE PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER PROVIDES COMPASSIONATE CARE TO THOUSANDS OF WOMEN FACING UNPLANNED PREGNANCIES EACH YEAR IN DELAWARE COUNTY AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS.
