INDIVIDUALS ARE HOUSED IN 3 GROUPS HOMES. THESE RESIDENTS ARE DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED AND REQUIRE 24 HOUR CARE. THE HOMES ARE LICENSED BY STATE BOARD OF HEALTH AND FALL UNDER THOSE STANDARDS. THE RESIDENTS ARE TAUGHT DAILY LIVING SKILLS SUCH AS COOKING, CLEANING, LAUNDRY AND PERSONAL HYGIENE. RESIDENTS ARE TAUGHT SOCIALIZATION AND TAKEN INTO THE COMMUNITY FOR OUTING SUCH AS CHURCH, SHOPPING, PICNICS, ETC.
INDUSTRIAL SERVICES PROVIDES GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT AND TEACHES JOB SKILLS TO DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED ADULTS. THE SHELTERED WORKCENTER IS CARF ACCREDITED AND FALLS UNDER MEDICAID AND STATE BOARD OF HEALTH STANDARDS. CONTRACTS ARE OBTAINED WITH OUTSIDE COMPANIES TO DO JOBS SUCH AS ASSEMBLY, PACKAGING, AND SORTING. CONSUMERS ARE PAID BIWEEKLY UNDER A SPECIAL CERTIFICATE FROM WAGE AND HOUR.
THE SEMI-INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAM HELPS INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED TO LIVE IN THEIR OWN HOMES EITHER ALONE OR WITH A ROOMMATE. STAFF TEACH DAILY LIVING SKILLS SUCH AS COOKING, CLEANING, LAUNDRY, SHOPPING, BILL PAYING AND CHECKBOOK BALANCING. STAFF ALSO HELP SET DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENTS AND HELP WITH MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION. THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE FUNDED BY MEDICAID AND REQUIRE 24 HOUR OR LESS THAN 24 HOUR CARE AS THEIR TEAM DEEMS NECESSARY.
