RESPECT OVC & VOCA - THIS PROJECT ADDRESSES LOCAL PROSTITUTION IN THE CITY OF MADISON AND DANE COUNTY AND WAS OPENED BY ARC IN THE COMMUNITY IN JULY 1986. THIS PROJECT SERVES APPROXIMATELY FIFTY-FIVE WOMEN PER YEAR FOR A PERIOD OF FOUR TO EIGHT MONTHS. THIS PROJECT IS JOINTLY FUNDED BY THE CITY OF MADISON AND DANE COUNTY AND PROVIDES DIVERSION SERVICES ON AN OUTPATIENT BASIS FOR WOMEN INVOLVED IN PROSTITUTION AS PROCESSED BY THE CITY OF MADISON AND DANE COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICES FOR THE VIOLATION OF LOITERING AND OTHER PROSTITUTION RELATED ORDINANCES AND STATUTES IN LIEU OF FINES, COURT APPEARANCES AND JAIL TIME. RESPECT PROVIDES AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE "REVOLVING DOOR" NATURE OF THE OFFENSE. INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICE PLANS ARE DEVELOPED WITH EACH WOMAN AND THE REFERRAL SOURCE TO MEET HER NEEDS FOR STABLE RECOVERY. SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF CONTRACTS RESULTS IN THE DISMISSAL OF CRIMINAL CHARGES. LOCATED IN THE COMMUNITY, RESPECT ALSO EMPHASIZES PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION BY ENCOURAGING SELF-REFERRALS.RESPECT PROVIDES A SAFE SPACE AND PEER SUPPORT AS WELL AS ADVOCACY, CASE MANAGEMENT, COUNSELING AND CRISIS INTERVENTION ON AN OUTPATIENT BASIS IN ORDER TO ASSIST WOMEN IN LEAVING PROSTITUTION AND TO HELP THEM INTO ESSENTIAL COMMUNITY SERVICES IN ORDER TO ADDRESS A WOMAN'S HEALTH, ECONOMIC, AND FAMILY NEEDS SO SHE CAN DEVELOP A SAFE, CONSTRUCTIVE LIFESTYLE. BEGINNING IN 1998, RESPECT RECEIVED FUNDING FROM THE MADISON AIDS NETWORK AND STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL TO ADD AN HIV/AIDS OUTREACH PREVENTION AND EDUCATION PEER COUNSELING PROGRAM COMPONENT.IN MARCH 2012, RESPECT RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO VICTIMS OF SEX TRAFFICKING. THIS PROVIDES SERVICES FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC HUMAN TRAFFICKING BY COLLABORATING WITH PARTNER AGENCIES AND COORDINATING THE DELIVERY OF SERVICES TO EACH VICTIM RESPECT SERVES.
ARC MATERNAL & INFANT PROGRAM - THIS PROJECT IS A COMMUNITY-BASED, RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM FOR ADULT PREGNANT FEMALE OFFENDERS OR MOTHERS WHO HAVE INFANTS UP TO ONE YEAR OF AGE. SINCE 1992, THIS PROJECT HAS PROVIDED FOR THE MOTHER AND CHILD BOND IN A SAFE, STABLE ENVIRONMENT TO ENABLE WOMEN TO BECOME RESPONSIBLE PARENTS AND TO DEVELOP THE NECESSARY SKILLS TO LIVE IN A STABLE, LAWFUL MANNER IN THE COMMUNITY. THE PROJECT IS LICENSED BY THE STATE AS AN EIGHT BED CBRF FOR WOMEN WHO ARE REMANDED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR INTENSIVE COMMUNITY SUPERVISION. THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES PARENTING, CHILD AND FAMILY AND HEALTH COORDINATION, AND REFERRAL SERVICES.
ARC MILWAUKEE WOMEN'S PROGRAM - ARC MILWAUKEE WOMEN'S PROGRAM IS A 13-BED RESIDENTIAL FACILITY FOR WOMEN WHO ARE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, AND WHO HAVE A SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER. THE PROGRAM IS LICENSED AS A CBRF AND CERTIFIED AS A SUBSTANCE ABUSE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM. OUR PROGRAM IS COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL, WOMEN-RESPONSIVE, AND RELATIONAL THAT ADDRESSES CHEMICAL DEPENDENCIES, PHYSICAL AND SEXUAL ABUSE, DEPENDENT AND ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS, SKILL BUILDING, HEALTH PROBLEMS, EMPLOYMENT AND MONEY MANAGEMENT NEEDS, ALTERNATIVE LEISURE TIME USE, CHILD ABUSE, AND PARENTING EDUCATION AND CHILD CUSTODY/MOTHER AND CHILD REUNIFICATION ISSUES.
