FLANNER HOUSE OF INDIANAPOLIS, INC. AND SUBSIDIARY (THE "ORGANIZATION") IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION LOCATED IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA. THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT, ADVOCATE FOR AND EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS, CHILDREN, AND FAMILIES BY APPLYING EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC RESOURCES THAT MOVE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TOWARDS STABILIZATION, AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY. SOCIAL SERVICES PROVIDE A PROGRAM FOCUSED ON THREE MAIN AREAS: FAMILY EMPOWERMENT, LIFE SKILLS AND JOB READINESS, AND EMPLOYMENT. COMMUNITY SERVICES PROVIDE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR THE NORTH WEST AREA OF INDIANAPOLIS. THIS INCLUDES OPERATING THE UJAMAA COMMUNITY BOOKSTORE TO PROVIDE LITERACY AND PROGRAMMING FOR THE COMMUNITY AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. YOUTH SERVICES PROVIDES EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE TO INSTILL A DESIRE FOR LIFELONG LEARNING. THE FOOD JUSTICE PROGRAM SEEKS TO REBIRTH AND MAINTAIN THEIR LONG TRADITION OF PROVIDING EQUITABLE FOOD ACCESS TO MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES IN THE LARGEST FOOD DESERT IN INDIANAPOLIS.
