THE EVANSVILLE ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND, INC. IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION COMMITTED TO ASSISTING DISABLED OR DISADVANTAGED PERSONS, PARTICULARLY THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED, EMPOWERING THEM THROUGH DIVERSE SERVICES TO LIVE AND WORK IN THE COMMUNITY.

LOW VISION - EVANSVILLE ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND OFFERS VISION SERVICES TO ALL AGES. THE LOW VISION PROGRAM CONCENTRATES ON THE MATURE POPULATION WHERE THERE ARE 414 ADULTS ON OUR ROSTER. EAB STAFF PERFORMED 62 FUNCTIONAL LOW VISION EVALUATIONS TO PROPERLY FIT MAGNIFIERS FOR USE. EAB PROVIDES RADIOS TO 420 INDIVIDUALS TO HEAR THE NEWSPAPER READ EACH MORNING.
ORIENTATION AND MOBILITY - EVANSVILLE ASSOCIATION FOR THE BLIND STAFF TEACHES ORIENTATION AND MOBILITY (CANE TRAVEL) TO PERSONS OF ALL AGES. 39 PERSONS WERE TRAINED IN CANE TRAVEL DURING FISCAL 2022.
