ORNANIZATION'S MISSION OR MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITY THE KOKOMO YMCA IS A NON-PROFIT, CHARITABLE COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION. THE YMC IS AN ASSOCIATION OF PEOPLE DEDICATED TO THT MISSION OF THE YMCA, TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT DEVELOP A HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND, AND BODY FOR ALL. OUR CAUSE DEFINES US WE KNOW THAT LASTING PERSONAL AND SOCIAL CHANGE COMES WHEN WE ALL WORK TOGETHER. THAT'S WHY, AT THE Y, STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY IS OUR CAUSE. EVERY DAY, WE WORK SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH OUR NEIGHBORS TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF AGE, INCOME OR BACKGROUND, HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN, GROW AND THRIVE. FAMILY CARE PROGRAMS STRENGTHEN FAMILIES AND MEET THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN. THE CENTRAL FOCUS IS DAY CARE AND SCHOOL AGE PROGRAMS TO FOSTER GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES BY PROVIDING A SAFE SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT.
FITNESS PROGRAMS FULFILL THE KOKOMO YMCA'S MISSION OF BUILDING MINDS, BODIES AND SPIRITS. PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO IMPACT THE WELLNESS OF THE INDIVIDUAL AND THE COMMUNITY.
