MY CAUSE MY CLEATS: THIS IS AN INITIATIVE LEAD BY THE NFL WHERE PLAYERS AND COACHES GET THEIR CLEATS CUSTOMIZED TO HIGHLIGHT NONPROFIT CAUSES THEY WANT TO SUPPORT. OUR FOUNDATION STARTED MAKING $5,000 DONATIONS/GRANTS TO THE ORGANIZATIONS THEY IDENTIFIED. SOME PLAYERS SELECTED TWO, SO EACH ORGANIZATIONS RECEIVED $2,500.
GET 2 SCHOOL (NOW STAY IN THE GAME) IS OUR STATEWIDE INITIATIVE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND PROVING GROUND OUT OF HARVARD. WE PARTNER WITH SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO CREATE AND IMPLEMENT ATTENDANCE CAMPAIGNS AND TEST INTERVENTIONS TO HELP INCREASE STUDENT ATTENDANCE AND DECREASE BARRIERS TO CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM.

GINN ACADEMY - LIFE COACHES - THE CLEVELAND BROWNS FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE WORK OF THE LIFE COACHES. GINN'S LIFE COACH PROGRAM PROVIDES EACH STUDENT WITH A 24/7 MENTOR FOR THE AREAS OF ACADEMICS, BEHAVIOR, ATTENDANCE, AND SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT TO SERVE AS A LINK BETWEEN HOME AND SCHOOL. GINN ACADEMY STRIVES TO ASSIGN 20 STUDENTS TO EACH LIFE COACH WHO THEY WORK WITH FROM 9TH GRADE UNTIL THEY GRADUATE. THE CENTERS FOR FAMILIES & CHILDREN - PRESENT FOR BRAIN BUILDING - RESEARCH SHOWS THAT BEING PRESENT IN PRESCHOOL CAN DIRECTLY IMPACT STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND ULTIMATELY HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION. THE CENTERS FOR FAMILIES AND CHILDREN DESIGNED THE PRESENT FOR BRAIN BUILDING PROGRAM TO EDUCATE PARENTS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF THEIR CHILD'S PRESCHOOL ATTENDANCE AND INCREASE ATTENDANCE RATES AMONG PRESCHOOL STUDENTS.BROWNS BACKERS WORLDWIDE - THREE BROWNS BACKER CLUBS ARE CHOSEN EACH YEAR TO RECEIVE A $2,000 GRANT TO DIRECTLY FUND A CHARITY THE CLUB ACTIVELY SUPPORTS WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITY.
