RMH OF AKRON, INC, OPERATES A HOUSE FOR CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS WHILE THEY ARE RECEIVING TREATMENT AT LOCAL HOSPITALS. IT GIVES THE PARENTS AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS AN AFFORDABLE PLACE TO STAY WHILE BEING NEAR THEIR CHILDREN WHO ARE IN THE HOSPITAL. RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF AKRON CARED FOR 655 FAMILIES AND OVER 26,749 INDIVIDUALS IN 2019. THE 655 FAMILIES CAME FROM 52 OHIO COUNTIES, 29 STATES AND 4 COUNTRIES. THE HOUSE ASKS THAT EACH FAMILY DONATE $20 PER NIGHT FOR THEIR STAY. ONLY 15% WERE ABLE TO DONATE NIGHTLY IN 2019.
