RIGGS COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER HAS A RICH HISTORY FOR OVER 25 YEARS OF PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY, COMPREHENSIVE PRIMARY HEALTH CARE TO THE MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF TIPPECANOE COUNTY, INDIANA. WENDELL RIGGS, M.D. AND OTHER KEY HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS ENVISIONED INCREASED ACCESS FOR OUR AREA'S UNINSURED AND UNDERINSURED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. WITH SUPPORT FROM ST. ELIZABETH MEDICAL CENTER AND A FEW DEDICATED COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO SHARED A ZEAL TO HELP, AFFORDABLE PRIMARY CARE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN BEGAN BY OPENING A PART-TIME PRENATAL AND WELL-CHILD CLINIC IN 1988. TODAY, WE SERVE APPROXIMATELY 17,000 PATIENTS THROUGH OVER 54,000 VISITS EACH YEAR AT FOUR LOCATIONS AND PROVIDE PRIMARY CARE TO ADULT, PEDIATRIC AND PRENATAL WOMEN'S HEALTH PATIENTS IN ADDITION TO DENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES.
