LEARNING CLUB OF TOLEDO PROVIDES AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AT NO CHARGE TO LOW INCOME URDAN YOUTH. OUR PROGRAM'S FOCUS ON READING, MATHEMATICS, GOAL SETTING AND SELF DISCIPLINE HELPS STUDENTS OBTAIN SKILLS TO SUCCEED IN LIFE

196 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN 8 PROGRAMS HELD AT FOUR SITE LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF TOLEDO, OHIO. OVER 320 SESSIONS WERE HELD FROM SEPTEMBER 2020 THROUGH MAY 2021, DUE TO ROLLING SCHOOL CLOSURES BETWEEN THANKSGIVING AND JANUARY 4TH, 2021, BECAUSE OF COVID-19 CONCERNS. 91% OF STUDENTS WHO MET THE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT (75% OF THE SESSIONS HELD) ACHIEVED AT LEAST A 1.0 GRADE LEVEL INCREASE IN READING, AND IN MATH. IN 2020-2021 63% OF STUDENTS ATTENDED AT LEAST 75% OF SESSIONS HELD FROM SEPTEMBER 2020 THROUGH MAY 2021 (GOAL 50%.
