OPERATION KEEPSAKE, INC. (OK, INC.), IS ONE OF THE LONGEST-RUNNING RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH IN THE COUNTRY. OK, INC.S ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE TEENS TO DEVELOP HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS AND STRONG CHARACTER SO THAT THEY MAY BUILD AND SUSTAIN COMMITTED MARRIAGES AND STRONG FAMILIES IN THE FUTURE. ANNUALLY, OK, INC. SERVES APPROXIMATELY 15,000 MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH IN OVER 100 SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS IN NORTHEAST OHIO WITH A SKILLS-BASED, POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT APPROACH TO RELATIONSHIP EDUCATION. OK, INC.S PROGRAMS STRENGTHEN YOUTHS COMMITMENT TO RESIST BEHAVIORS SUCH AS ALCOHOL AND DRUG USE, SEXUAL ACTIVITY, DATING VIOLENCE, AND BULLYING THAT THREATEN THEIR FUTURE HEALTH AND WELLBEING.
IN ADDITION TO SCHOOL- AND COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMMING, OK, INC.S HAS DEVELOPED A YOUTH-DRIVEN FILM PROJECT, THE FRIENDS4FRIENDS CAMPAIGN (F4F). THE F4F CAMPAIGN USES PEER LEADERSHIP COUNCILS TO DEVELOP SHORT VIDEOS OR VIGNETTES ADDRESSING RISK BEHAVIORS IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT YOUTH TO AVOID OR OVERCOME COMMON ADOLESCENT CHALLENGES. THE SHORT FILMS DRAMATIZE REAL-LIFE SCENARIOS DEPICTING TEENS WATCHING THEIR FRIENDS EXPERIENCE A CRISIS. THE HEROES OR HEROINES OF THE FILMS HAVE THE CHOICE TO BE BYSTANDERS OR INTERVENE AND HELP A FRIEND. THE F4F CAMPAIGN SHORT FILMS ARE LAUNCHED ON OK, INC.S YOUTUBE CHANNEL.
